Middle School

Classes Begin September 11, 2024 - 6:00 P.M.

At Hope Lutheran Church we believe most kids are ready to take ownership of their faith by the time they reach high school. By this age students are able to:

  1. Understand Biblical Truths For Themselves
  2. Learn Lutheran Teachings
  3. Stand Up Publicly To Say, "This Is What I Believe"

How to confirm your faith:

Middle schoolers should attend three years of class, attend worship regularly, and serve in your community. Statistics show that parents are a child’s number one spiritual mentor. As a church, Hope wants to partner with parents as they walk on this journey of faith discovery with their child. We encourage parents and students to seriously discuss if the student is ready to take the first step of confirming this faith as their own. When the student decides they are ready for that step, they are invited to participate in the Rite of Confirmation during a designated worship service.

Our wonderful middle school teachers are:

Year 1: Cindy Cook, Vicki Lohse

Year 2: Katherine Enderle

Year 3: DCE Alex Cargin

Students do not need to be signed in! We pray your child can join us for class on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:30 P.M. Middle school students are also invited to join high schoolers on Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:30 A.M. in the Youth Room for Bible study, fellowship, and coffee runs to Just Love Coffee. Be sure to visit our Facebook page. Contact DCE Alex Cargin at: acargin@lifeathope.org for more information regarding Catechism.
