Sanctuary and Narthex Renovation Project

The renovated sanctuary in all its glory.

In early 2019, the Board of Music conducted an acoustical study of the church sanctuary. The results showed vast improvements in the sound quality of both musical performances and sermons could be achieved with the use of solid surfaces throughout the sanctuary.

In October 2019, the acoustical study evolved into a larger undertaking to enhance the facility to the glory of God. A proposal was brought before the Voters' Meeting to contact a firm to assist the congregation in charting out a plan to determine what we were looking for.

Church Interior Design, in conjunction with Shea Electric and Arrow Audio Visual based out of Appleton, responded to our call and came up with a wonderful plan. The plan calls for updates to walls, flooring, lighting, the A/V sound system, the altar area and seating. The updates address the results of the acoustical study and provide a fresh, modern look to both the sanctuary and narthex.

Since 2019, the Sanctuary and Narthex Renovation Committee has been meeting twice a month to refine the renovation plan.

The plan updates include all new flooring, seating and lighting.

Two mosaic inlays will be featured in the sanctuary flooring. The one on the left, representing Holy Baptism with the cross, water of life and the Holy Spirit descending upon us will be at the entrance of the sanctuary. The other mosaic, representing Holy Communion will be up front of the steps to the alter.

In February, the voters approved a capital fundraising campaign with a final vote on the project occurring at the May Voters' Meeting.

May God bless us as we discuss this and may we glorify God in all of our endeavors.

The narthex renovation provides much improved lighting and enhanced spaciousness.
