Shelter for Hope

More Updates on the Shelter of Hope! It's hard to believe not long ago we were experiencing a major winter storm with the foundation of the picnic shelter (pillars and support beams)all that was n place - waiting for clear weather to continue construction. Fast forward to March 25 where major progress has been made been done including installation of the trusses, roof, soffits, shingles and facia.

We envision a number of events to be held in our outdoor worship area - capped off with the annual Hope Picnic in September.

We want to thank everyone who contributed funding and energy and in making this wonderful outdoor worship area a reality.

SCRIP for Music Ministry

What is Scrip? Scrip is gift card fundraising. It is a different way to fundraise, taking gift cards and turning them into dollars raised for the Music Ministry Programs. Here’s how it works.

Purchase a gift card for $10-$100 for some place you’re already going to spend money – gas station, grocery store, restaurant, etc. You pay the face value of the card, no additional fees, and have the dollar amount on the gift card to spend. The Board of Music receives a discount when we purchase these cards, hence, we have made a small profit on the gift card and you have your full dollar amount to spend!

For example, you purchase a $100 gift card for Pick N Save. You have $100 to spend. The Scrip Pick N Save card cost us $96 to purchase, so the Board of Music profits $4. The Board of Music has used this money to support our Music Ministry here at Hope. The Scrip program has helped us purchase items such as: An all-new electronic drum kit (replacing the previous 26-year-old kit); new handbell tables, foam pads, black velvet coverings, new choir folders, whiteboard for the Music Studio (to replace the old chalkboard), cross banner for the Music Studio (to inspire both adults and children as they make music!), and shirts for Children’s Choir.

Scrip is sold almost every weekend. We have some Scrip gift cards in stock. If we do not have what you would like, it can be ordered. The ordered Scrip will arrive in 1-2 weeks. Visit us at the Welcome Center to learn more!

Times available:
Saturday, 5:30 PM service for 15 min after the service has ended
Sunday, 8:00 AM service for 15 min after the service has ended
Sunday, 10:30 AM service for 15 min before the service starts
