Kristen Vanderkin-Jus, Director/Preschool Teacher

Hello! My name is Kristin Vanderkin-Jus. I am honored to join Hope Lutheran Preschool as Director and 3P teacher. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a Bachelor’s of Liberal Arts Degree, Spanish and German and earned my Graduate Degree in Elementary Education from the University of West Florida. My career in Education began as an Instructional Aide in Boulder Creek, California where I found teaching children is what makes my heart sing. Before moving to the Fond du Lac School District I taught at John F. Kennedy School Berlin, a bilingual school in Berlin, Germany.

I recently moved to Fond du Lac, where I enjoy the great outdoors bike riding, reading, dabbling in arts and crafts, and learning about life on Lake Winnebago. I love traveling the globe with my husband and two sons. Most of all, I value spending time with family and friends.

Jessica Hernandez, 4K Teacher

Hello, my name is Jessica Hernandez.  I am the lead teacher for Hope's 4K program.  I graduated from UW-Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree.  I have a license to teach PreK through 6th grade.  In addition to teaching here, I also teach Sunday School at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane.  I am very enthusiastic about helping children learn and reach their highest potential.

I live in Fond du Lac with my husband, Bobby, and my two daughters, Marysa and Hannah.  In my spare time, I enjoy keeping active by taking walks, bike rides, playing softball, or going to the gym.  I also like to relax by watching movies or reading books.  One of my biggest passions is traveling.

Stacy Guelig, 4K Assistant

Hi, my name is Stacy Guelig.  I am the assistant teacher in Hope's preschool program.  I received my early childhood education from Fox Valley Tech in 1994 and earned by CDA (child development associate) degree in 1996.  I worked in early childhood for 10 years before starting my own family.  I have been blessed to be able to stay at home raising my kids for the last 11 years.  I love being part of making a difference in a child's life.  There is nothing better than seeing a child's eyes light up when they learn something new!

I live in the Mt. Calvary area with my husband, Bob, and my three kids, Kayla, Brianna and Nathan.  In my spare time I volunteer at my kids school, coach my daughter's soccer team and try to help out with all three kids in their sports/activities.  When we have the time, we love to go camping with family and friends.
