We are excited to announce a new Jr. High program coming Fall 2020, made with Jr. High students in mind! Along with Catechism, XP3 Student Nights are for 6th-8th grade students and friends and utilizes multiple environments and times. Read below to find out more!
XP3 Student Nights – Grades 6-8
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind... Love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:37-38 (NIV)
XP3 Student Nights is a middle school ministry that connects students to caring and consistent leaders in order to help them experience wonder for who God is, discover who He created them to be, and develop passion for loving others! Before your student graduates middle school, we want them to remember:
- I love God because He will never stop loving me
- I follow Jesus because He knows me better than I know myself
- I will live out God's story so others can know who Jesus is
Student Nights breakdown (Sunday evenings):
Social Time: The time when middle schoolers can connect, have some fun with each other, and their Small Group leaders. Because fun breaks down walls and it makes relationships go deeper. Fun over time creates connection and we’ll do this through outrageously fun games and activities like: Cell Phone Scavenger Hunts, Minute To Win It Games, “Will It Taco?”, and more!
Worship/Teaching Time: Middle schoolers will have a chance to connect with God through music then transition into a large group teaching time. Each week’s message is built from the very beginning with the middle schooler in mind. How their brains work, how they learn, what their biggest needs are, and most importantly what they need to know right now about the God that made them, who loves them, and has a plan for them.
Small Group Time: Small groups are a huge deal because we’re convinced that some truths are best processed in conversation and that kids need other adults besides their parents who can come alongside of them to influence and care for them. This is where application, discovery, and community happen. Small groups can be the difference maker for a student’s faith so everything else in XP3 Student Nights is built to set up small group conversation.
